boys of summer Larry Gardner

Known as the " The Happy Warrior" 3rd baseman Larry Gardner had an amazing 401 RBI with just 10 homers in 673 games for Indians. He closed a 17-year career with six seasons in Cleveland. He hit .310 with 118 RBI for the 1920 World Champs and .319 with 120 RBI the next year. After his retirement from baseball, he returned to the University of Vermont as a baseball coach and athletic director.
